MARMO ARC STAND

For the exhibition in London on 29-30 November, we prepared for and participated together with our partners Alsotana and Cosentino Lithuania. “Cosentino is an international, Spanish family-owned company that develops innovative surfaces for kitchens, bathrooms, and other shared facilities. The company offers artificial stone products from world-renowned brands such as Dekton and Silestone, which are of the highest quality and come in various colours, sizes and thicknesses.

Our stand at the exhibition was designed in partnership with Alsotana. This company develops and manufactures beautiful furniture using modern technology. We showcased avant-garde stoneworking techniques, craftsmanship, and modern design on our shared stand to demonstrate innovative interior design solutions for cruise ships.

All the products and design solutions we presented were developed in line with the main marine installation standards, and the materials and colours used were selected according to the hottest trends in marine style. For this project, we used light-coloured stone products from the Cosentino Group, such as Sensa Ice Blue, Dekton Graphite and Trance, Silestone Ethereal Haze, White Arabesque, and Victorian Silver, which are the best suited to the marine concept.

UNIQUE DESIGN SOLUTIONS

In the centre of the stand, we positioned a reception desk of exceptional beauty, with a façade carefully milled in waves and then glued – to curve the stone at the corners and to glue the furniture’s corner volumes. We used brass fittings and leather to create the exhibition stand. Using brushed brass in cruise ship furniture can create a cosy, luxurious atmosphere. It is often used in nautical/marine-themed designs because of its extreme durability and ability to withstand the harsh conditions of the marine environment.

Leather is a durable and stylish choice for cruise ship furniture. Due to environmental challenges such as high humidity, exposure to salty water, and constant movement, it requires special attention and care. However, leather can last for years if you know how to look after it properly and use it in furniture designs. This time, we chose Lena Pearlized leather in a more natural colour for our project.

The weight of interior products is a critical factor in the cruise industry, so we introduced the event participants to exclusive solutions – thinned stone products that are perfectly suited for cruise ships. Due to the importance of safety on board, we did not use the right angles for all the products presented.

AWARD FO THE MOST BEAUTIFUL STAND

The Marmo Arc stand hosted an event with a large crowd of enthusiasts eager to hear the speakers’ thoughts on design in the maritime industry. It explored the factors influencing design, the opportunities and threats for the future, and the origins of current design trends.

We are pleased to have received a very high level of interest from exhibitors and potential partners throughout the exhibition. And on the second day of the exhibition, we received delighted news – the jury voted Marmo Arc’s stand the most beautiful of the exhibition! Marmo Arc‘s first time at CSIE was a real success, and we look forward to next year.
